The four regions of the United Kingdom
The United Kingdom is a country located in the north-western part of Europe, it is divided into four regions.
  1. England
  2. Wales
  3. Northern Ireland
  4. Scottlnd


 
England
England is located in the southern part of the United Kingdom, the capital city of England is London, which is also the capital of the United Kingdom. The flag of England consists of two colours; a white background and a red cross. The white background signifies peace and honesty while the Red Cross signifies hardiness, bravery, strength and valour.
Wales
Wales is situated in the west of the United Kingdom, Cardiff is the capital of Wales. The flag consist of a red dragon with a green and white background which is a symbol of pride in history and heritage for Welsh people worldwide.
Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland is located in the north east of the island of Ireland, and has Belfast as its capital city. The flag consists of a white background and a red cross, with a red hand of ulster in the middle of it and a star signifying the six counties that makes up Northern Ireland.
Scotland
Scotland is in the northern part of the United Kingdom, Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland. The Scottish flag is blue and has two white crosses running across the flag. The blue symbolises vigilance, truth and honesty, while the white is seen as peace and honesty.
